Knowledge exchange and sector engagement
Prime Consulting hosted researchers from the Japan Agriculture and Livestock Industries Corporation in New Zealand in 2019. ALIC is a semi governmental organisation attached to Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, responsible for monitoring global agricultural trends and sharing insights with Japanese farmers and industry.
The visit focused on New Zealand’s dairy related environmental regulations and farm management practices, supporting knowledge transfer on sustainability and regulatory approaches.
Other work in Japan includes:
Conducting market development activities for a New Zealand developed food safety and biosecurity risk assessment tool on behalf of the EpiCentre at Massey University.
Developing tourism and education business links for New Zealand companies in Tokyo in collaboration with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
