Africa

We have significant experience in the agriculture sector in Africa, designing and working on a number of projects in Ethiopia, Rwanda and Zambia.

Our current major focus is in Zambia, where we are implementing the Zambia Dairy Transformation Programme (2016-2021), focused on sustainably strengthening the Zambian dairy value chain by increasing the quality and quantity of milk produced by smallholder farmers for commercial sale.

The programme aims to influence smallholder, emergent and commercial dairy farmers across the country. Its areas of direct operations are in Central Province and the Copperbelt.

Funded by the New Zealand Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade, the programme's desired long-term outputs are enhanced growth and sustainability of the national dairy sector and improved health of the Zambian population.
