Animal Health and Welfare Global Practice Lead

Dr James Young is a veterinary expert and experienced commercial leader in animal health diagnostics and delivery devices.

With a background spanning clinical veterinary practice, farming systems, food security research and commercial agribusiness and biotechnology, he has expertise in One Health, pandemic preparedness, epidemiology, climate resilience, animal health economics and health systems strengthening.

Dr Young also brings over 10 years of experience delivering biosecurity change in both smallholder and commercial systems, across Asia, Australasia and the Middle East.

He is known for building cross-cultural partnerships and translating complex challenges into practical, scalable solutions that improve animal and human health and welfare.
