Dr Angus Davidson

Dr Angus Davidson is senior agrifood executive with more than 30 years’ experience leading organisations, strengthening value chains and delivering system-wide improvement across Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Asia and the Pacific.

He has held CEO, Chair and Director roles in commercial agribusiness, statutory bodies and multi-country development programs, working at the intersection of production, policy, regulation and commercial strategy.

In the development sector, he has designed and led programmes exceeding US$1 billion in investment value, delivering measurable gains in productivity, market access, compliance and industry resilience.

Dr Davidson is well-versed in the practicalities of programme delivery, having been Prime Consulting’s operations manager on the ground in Afghanistan for many years.

His recent doctoral research examined agricultural system behaviour and the unintended consequences of development interventions.

Dr Davidson has a Master of Agribusiness from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Adelaide, majoring in intensive livestock production.
