Mr Vili Caniago

Mr Vili Caniogo is an experienced policy advisor who has been providing capacity building and advisory services in the Pacific for more than 15 years, encompassing agriculture, economic resilience and SME development.

He brings strong networks and deep understanding of the political, economic and social realities of the region to his work. Mr Caniogo’s policy and regulatory advisory experience covers food systems resilience, agribusiness, value chain development and farmer network institutions.

He established the first ever e-agriculture policy and research platforms and repositories for 15 Pacific countries to strengthen planning capacity, promote inclusiveness and strengthen regional complementary initiatives.

He has hands-on experience managing complex regional and multi-country programs in the Pacific, including as a Programme Manager with AusAID. He has also worked on projects involving Australia, South-East Asia, Timor-Leste and the Caribbean.

Mr Caniogo has a Bachelor of Business from Massey University in New Zealand, a Masters in International Trade and Investment from Deakin University in Melbourne and a Masters in Economics Policy from the Crawford School of Public Policy at Australian National University.
