 Dr Alan Pearson, BVSc(Dist), Group
Chairman Alan is an experienced company director, entrepreneur and business strategist, specialising in knowledge-based industries. He has a professional and technical background in the agribusiness and biological sciences industries, as well as hands-on experience in the tourism, education and information technology sectors. His professional background includes senior management roles in both public and private sector organisations. Alan holds a Veterinary Science degree from Massey University, graduating with Distinction in 1980. Subsequently, he has untertaken specialist training in marketing, finance and human resources fields. Since 1991 he has had extensive involvement with business development projects in South-East and East Asia. Alan specialises in strategic policy analysis, market development and the development of business or industry expansive or defensive strategies. |

 Grant Jeffrey, BMS (hons), NCQM, DirectorGrant has a range of managerial, governance, quality, project management and IT skills gained over the past 15 years through vocational experiences in New Zealand, Australia and Asian markets. He has had significant manufacturing experience, combining quality systems as well as sales, in the dairy sectors of both New Zealand and Australia. These roles have included the establishment and conformance to ISO systems, IT development of quality and manufacturing planning systems, and product development for key markets such as South East Asia, and practical agricultural experience. Over the past 5 years Grant has been involved in market development in the Asian and Pacific regions, with developing both livestock and perishable food exports to targeted countries. He has travelled extensively internationally and is recognised in his local region for significant experience in world markets.

 Dr Rhona MacKenzie, BVSc, DirectorRhona has a background in technical and operations management as well as consulting, training and company governance. She has a veterinary science background, initially in mixed clinical practice and then in State Veterinary Medicine. Her professional experience includes development and management of regional animal health programmes, scientific research, co-ordination of export shipments and animal welfare work. Since 1991 she has been involved in export business development and in 1994 became a partner in a private agribusiness sector consulting and trading firm. That role subsequently expanded to include a general management function and involvements in both the tourism and education business sectors. Rhona now holds two company directorship positions. Rhona's strengths are in technical analysis, project management and communications. She brings a well-honed strategic insight to her work along with a focus on key aspects of practical detail. |

Director (Ag), AFNZIM, DirectorAngus has a strong operationally-focussed food industry background. He is HACCP accredited and conducted training and assessment in this specialist area within the New Zealand meat processing industry. He has held a chief executive position as well as directorships and other senior executive roles within the Australasian food industry providing him with good knowledge of corporate governance. He has experience in the areas of intensive livestock production systems, quality systems, animal welfare, biosecurity, IT, and research and innovation. Angus has also played an active role in establishing successful niche products into the South East Asian marketplace. He holds a Master of Agribusiness from the University of Melbourne (first class honours) and Bachelor of Applied Science in Agriculture from the University of Adelaide, majoring in intensive livestock production. |

MalaysiaLeon Choo, MBA, B. Engineering, FCOT (QC), ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt - Associate Consultant Leon is a specialist in quality management and six sigma programmes. He has provided training and consultancy in Six Sigma, TQM, ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO/TS 16949 and Productivity improvement programmes for multinationals and SME's in New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China/ Hong Kong and Singapore. He has obtained his MBA from the University of Auckland and his Mechanical Engineering degree from Monash University, Melbourne. He pursued his studies further in the quality management field by completing his Certificate of Technology at Swinburne College, Melbourne. Since 1992, Leon has provided consultancy and training, services, holding various posts with the New Zealand largest multi-disciplinary consulting firm and later with a consultancy practice in Malaysia. His aras of specialisation include developing and implementing Integrated Management Systems, TQM & Six Sigma programmes and in a small capacity in Enterprise Risk Management. Email Leon Choo... China Sue Cotton, BSc, MRRP, MPP - Associate Consultant Sue has a background in regulatory reform, strategic policy development, corporate performance evaluation and ecological monitoring. She has worked in biosecurity, agriculture, resource management and cultural and education promotion. Sue has held management roles in New Zealand and North Asia. She has developed and implemented new national legislation, coordinated multiple agencies in delivering joint programmes and developed and introduced corporate performance systems within a multi-cultural environment. Sue has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Master in Regional and Resource Planning from the University of Otago, and a Master of Public Policy from Victoria University of Wellington. Sue's strengths are in policy development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, organisational coordination, systems development and project management. Singapore Mildred Ambrose, MBA (Dist), BA (Double Majors - Psychology & Industrial Relations) - Associate Consultant Mildred is an experienced and professional senior strategic management consultant, entrepreneur and business owner. She has international expertise in strategic management, corporate strategy & planning, strategic marketing, organizational design, development & change, strategic human resources management, executive search, international relations, legal management and customized training & development. Having lived and worked in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Asia, Mildred has initiated and implemented strategic organizational turnarounds of her clients. She has also successfully placed senior high-calibre talent within her client organizations internationally and locally. Her professional expertise and involvement spans MNCs as well as small and medium-sized enterprises from the private, public and non-profit sectors and several industries including Banking & Financial Services, Legal, Information Technology, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Industrial and Pharmaceutical. In addition to her professional career, Mildred contributes zealously to society through her keen involvement in voluntary community work. She has held both board and member level positions in related organizations in Singapore and New Zealand including the Canterbury Development Corporation Ltd where, as their business mentor, she offered consultancy and implementation services to small and medium-sized enterprises on a pro-bono basis. Mildred holds a MBA (Dist) from the
University of Canterbury, New Zealand; and a Bachelor of Arts (Double
Majors - Psychology and Industrial Relations) from the University of
Western Australia. Academically, Mildred has achieved higher
distinctions and top rankings both in her MBA consulting project/thesis
and Developmental Psychology on her BA.
